An Oriental Affair – Grand Opening of Aruku the Walk

About 2 weeks ago, I went to Johor Bahru with Malaysia's Hottest Bloggers as we were invited to attend the grand launch of Aruku The Walk. I actually never been to any club out of the KL city, and I thought it would be a new experience for me. According to Johorian, it is one of the most happening and new club in Johore! Kinda wondering what is the difference of this club with the one in KL hmmm.....

MHB took the opportunity to test-drive two Nissan cars namely the Sylphy and the X-Gear. The Sylphy is a C-segment sedan with low fuel consumption and very comfortable over long distances while the 5-seater X-Gear tuned by Impul is a crossover between a SUV and MPV. Good thing is we girls don't have to drive, Andy and Tim are the driver hehee...

Due to the rain, we arrived in Johore a little late than we expected. Still, how could we miss the good food in Johore?? We had a very satisfying dinner at the restaurant just right opposite the club - 金都海鲜餐馆 (the one with crab on the shop sign).

The grand launch of Aruku the Walk themed “An Oriental Affair” kicked off with a delicious buffet spread with guests entertained by the Jasmine Chinese Band and street magicians.

Soon after guests were ushered inside through the dazzling lighted tunnel to the main room where a live band was on hand singing and dancing to the latest hits and pop songs and had the crowd singing with them.

Aruku the Walk is a brand new clubbing experience and one that could certainly rival any of KL’s clubs with it’s advanced sound and light system and interiour design with nice sofas in the VIP area and a modern and striking bar.

The club was packed even thought it was a Thursday night!

But luckily we had our own VIP table reserved for us :D

Surprisingly there were quite a number of KL friends came to this grand launch too! Bumped into a friend of my sis, small worlddd! 

A live band was belting out popular hits and the crowd responded enthusiastically

Some very energetic dance routines accompanied the singing

Joanne Kam Po Po had the crowd bursting with laughter with her rather naughty set

Her dancers took to the stage to let the crowd catch their breathe from all the laughing

There was even a belly dance performance!

There was even a fashion show featuring the sexy Leng Yein


With Elecoldxhot taking to the stage soon after with a futuristic dance performance - the Astro Battleground 2008 champion and 8TV Showdown 2011 champion and put on an electrifying show!


DJ Jerryca Misty and MC Nigel Sparks took to the decks for an EDM set that had the crowd moving as thought it was a mini-rave in Aruku!

After a night of rest we were back to KL the next day. It was rather a short trip and hopefully I'll get the chance to visit to JB in the future. :)

WeChat!

The technology nowadays is so advanced that almost everyone is connecting each other with numerous of communication Apps, be it Android/ iPhone/ etc.....I myself have been using a lot of WhatsApp for communication purpose with my friends and sometimes I will use Skype/ Tango/ Line as well. Free sms/ calls/ video calls is so common and could save us phone users a lot of $$$!  :p Till last Tuesday, I get to know this new Apps - WeChat . Thanks to WeChat , I was cordially invited for their commercial launch/ party @ Club Neverland, KL.

Some fun games for us to know more about this apps, they looked like having fun on stage!

The party was crowded! Live chat/ group chat was going on throughout the party too. Wow, people are just efficient! I have downloaded the apps too but let's see some pictures that I captured during the party.

It's free for download with 17 different languages in different platform such as  iPhone, Android, Symbian, Windows Phone, Blackberry, and there's Web version too! It's initially launched in China as Weixin. Apparently, it is a popular apps in China and it's one of the fast growing mobile communication apps worldwide.

Out of curiosity, I've downloaded WeChat apps on my phone too! I thought there'll be no one using this yet but I was surprised that there're quite a number of friend request once I downloaded it! I think I'm really slow... =.= . 

Besides the normal video call/ texting/ sending pictures etc....there are some interesting and new features that make this apps interesting. I've tried some of the features with the friends and let's see what are the special about this apps. 

You could see I send a lot of voice msg to my cousin ( feature - Hold To Talk), and there're some other features like live chat.

I miss thissss!!! Msn is deadddd I miss cute emoticons soooo muchhh!!! (fyi they're same and moving like the one in MSN :p )

One could share ( feature - Moment) with picture, and could edit the effect like when you share in Instagram and friends of yours could give a "LIKE" and "COMMENT" on your moments too! 

Find a feature rather interesting and decided to give it a try - Drift Bottle.

This is the Throw feature. 

It's really funny, I thought I could throw a message to my friend, but it ended up throw into the sea and you've no idea who will receive your voice message in the bottle. 

Then I try the Pick feature. 

There's a glass bottle with message and I've no idea what is it and who is the sender, and it's a message from a cute girl from Korea. Hmmm...Korean or Chinese???? The message is written in Chinese?? No idea who she is so I just selected "Throw Back".

Another interesting feature - Shake.

Was doing this with a friend of mine and we shaked together, tadaaa! Found him!!!

Can't believe it's April nowww..... so here it goes on my...February Instagram update. Too many things too little time, wanted to keep the blog updated regularly but there's so many other thing to blog...I love my life being busy, will update the March insta soon! I'm sometimes a lazy girl tooo....imagine there's so many procedures before and after shower from head to toe!!! Arghhhhh I'll tend to skip some of the steps sometimes, but good thing is this Kérastase Resistance Ciment Anti-usure Reinforcing & Refinishing Treatment only need the time of ONE MINUTE! Apply after shampoo and towel-dried hair for just 1 min! Okayyy I got no excuse now....

Décleor Aroma Cleanse Essential Cleansing Milk & Tonifying Lotion 

Using a cotton pad to apply the cleansing milk on the face

After done massaging the face with the cleansing milk... (applied BB cream on that day)

Feeling less friction when removing make up compare to cleansing oil/ water base make up remover, I think I'm starting in love with cleansing milk!! 

Skin feeling supple and smooth after applying cleansing milk and tonifying lotion.

Burberry Beauty Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base

I thought it was foundation at first but it is NOT! It is fluid base or best part of all it can be used as an instant moisturizer!!! Or if you like to make up everyday, you could use it as a finishing product or as a shimmery highlighter. 

The texture...

More shimmery after applying it! and it's natural :) 

I could go out with only this hahhaaaa!

Then...the body part! Sighsss why girls are so troublesome???? So many stepssssss.... =.=

I could smell it even before I open it! A special and little masculine fragrance scent.
