Japanese Fine Dining - Cocotei Tokyo Japanese Cuisine

Japanese food is so irresistible!!! Finally got to visit this Japanese restaurant located in KL that Xiang has been talking about - Cocotei Tokyo Japanese Cuisine. I'm quite a lazy driver thanks to my friend who was on leave offered to chauffeur me to have a decent Japanese lunch with Xiang.

If you have been following me on Instagram or Dayre you would know that I kind of addicted to this restaurant, visited 3 times in 2 months time! Of course I won't be visiting as often as visiting Sushi Zanmai as this is quite pricey (fine dining what LOL...)

Ordered their lunch set which is quite worthy. Choose two main dishes from the menu which costs RM 30+, RM 33+ or RM 36+.

The set comes with refillable rice, miso soup, pickles and chawanmushi.

Hot green tea served among our arrival. You can choose to order cold green tea too.

A tea pot of hot green tea per table.

I made reservation earlier to secure our seat as sometimes the restaurant might be packed during lunch hour.

The were floor seating and table seating.

And sushi bar seating.

Of course we reserved the floor seating which looks more attractive! :)

Table seating.

First served was Chawanmushi. The egg is very smooth I really wonder how can they make it this smooth hmmm....

Grilled Unagi.

This is Xiang's and my favourite!!! Tasted nice and it doesn't have too much tiny bones too. I love unagi but I really hates their tiny bones.

And my favourite Salmon Sashimi!!!

Their sashimi very fresh and is thickly sliced!!! Almost triple of the size than the usual sashimi that I had, not used to it when I first tried it but I getting in love to a thicker one now. Be careful of the super fresh wasabi, I had too much on the first try and I teared after that so embarrassing =.=

Mixed Raw Fishes.

The mixed raw fishes will be varying everyday depending on the 'mood' of the chef LOL. We can't change any of the fishes so...if you hate one kind of any raw fishes better don't try luck by ordering this.

Salmon Boxed Sushi (look at the sushi rice omg so filling!)

Grilled Cod Fish

We prefer the salted grilled style for the fresh taste with the zinc of lemon, yummmy.....

The ginger slices that we requested.

This is my lunch set! I'm already feeling blessed by just looking at it :D

Ice creams for after lunch dessert!  ♥

We ordered Yam, Sesame and Green tea ice cream. I personally love the sesame flavour for its rich taste and Xiang loves the green tea one. Green tea is a little too rich for me and I feel it's a little bitter. As for the flavour of yam, my friend said it was nothing special.

Taking picture of the 2 boys secretly I'm so bad hehehe... :p

Overall it was quite a good one but I think the waiter service is not that up to standard. This could be a perfect dining place if their waiters are more attentive.

A shameless selfie to end this post...

2 in 1 Facial Mask - Age Defying Whitening Airy Masque

Hello!!! Miss me or not?? This is only the second blog entry this month, oh my god I'm so....so lazy right? I think I'm really addicted to my recent life and were doing some social media detoxing LOL! Don't worry I'm back now! :D

As a girl, I think daily skin care routine is vital for a healthy skin that I would never skip doing everyday. But when it comes to applying mask, I've always got the excuse to delay and delay hahaha! Call me procrastination queen :p. Still, I'll try to apply mask at least once a week. Hydrating mask is my first choice and next will be whitening, but recently I came across a good sheet mask with Anti-aging and Whitening both in 1 piece of mask! Sounds good doesn't it? Double the effects with just one application. :)

Age Defying Whitening Airy Masque (Indian Lotus Seed & Rice Ferment Filtrate)

• Brightening skin tone

• Anti-oxidant and prevent signs of aging

• Anti-inflammatory/Soothing effect

• Deep moisturizing

All functions in this one little piece of mask are what my skin desperately needed. My skin is sensitive and sometimes get inflamed when exposed under sunlight for too long or due to allergy nose.

The inside look of the mask, it got 3 layers!

Remove both outer layers and you're ready for some self-pampering session! :D

Ultra thin sheet mask and makes the absorption so much easier!

I guess there were some kind of ingredients that help to release stress too, I dozed off for like 8 or 10 minutes (first 5 mins were busying taking pics lol). Normally I don't find myself that relax when I'm applying sheet mask at home. And another fact I love is that the mask isn't too watery that essence will dip when I removed from the package. :)

Love the effect! Advisable to apply once a week for better result :)

RM 129 per box ( 5 pcs )

Singapore Part II - Bugis Street, Marina Bay, Merlion Park & Orchard Road

Here comes my Singapore Trip Part 2! Read my part I here if you haven't - http://emmz-s.blogspot.com/2014/01/singapore-part-i-sentosa-island.html :) It was an impromptu one day road trip and actually it was also my first time to our neighbour country, I'll always choose Thailand over Singapore cause I'll get to practice my rusty Thai language which I got no one to practice to! :p

After Sentosa Island and lunch, we went to several other famous attractions to jalan-jalan.

1. BUGIS STREET

Had lunch at the biggest food court in Bugis Street, so crowded and we were having hard time finding seats but all the food turned out meh. Not nice!!! Malaysian street food taste better :)

So crowded during even during lunch hour, under scorching hot sun! It was just like Petaling Street for me, nothing special.

Didn't buy anything haha just wanna take some touristy shot.

Touristy shot #2 :p

2. MARINA BAY

Went for a walk outside the shopping mall instead, no one has the shopping mode cause it was kinda rush for us to go so many places in one day.

Nice view, guess it would be nicer with the lights on during night time.

Love taking candid shot of their funny acts. :p

A proper one. :)

3. MERLION PARK

Merlion park is just opposite to Marina Bay, across the river. One of our friends suggested: "Eh let's walk to Orchard Road, it's just at the opposite". Everyone was like "WHATTTT?!?!?!?", and one of us replied: "why don't just swim, faster what". Haha I guess this is what friends for, a dose of laughter. :)

Sadly it was already gloomy when we just arrived at Merlion Park ☹ , but I have to take pictures of this signature lion head!!! After few shots dahhhhh, the sky turned really dark and it started raining. We were here for like 10-15 mins...ishhhhhh.

4. ORCHARD ROAD

We ended our day with all the beautiful Christmas Decorations in Orchard Road! Their decorations has very high ranking in the world record in the year of 2013, it's one of the top 10 if not I'm mistaken. We were making the right choice to visit the X'mas-y Singapore!

I'm amazed for my photography skill, tell me this is nice!

Love this shot cause can you see the ' HALO' above my head? What an angelic shot

A little awakward pose cause everyone wanted to take a pic of this X'mas tree. We were like jumped in and shoot for this pic. =.=

This X'mas tree is pretty too!

See the "hair"? Oh my god it was really amazing!!!

One giant X'mas tree which has a 'door'

A hardly-captured dreamy pose of me in front of the 'entrance' of this big X'mas tree. Everyone was walking in and out.

The "inside'' of the tree, the colour of light changed. Why don't we have all these in Malaysia?????

A last touristy shot of me to end the long, tiring but fun day! :)
