Sunday Brunch Buffet @ Friendscino Viva Home

It's very enjoyable to have a good Sunday brunch with friends. I had no chance to have a proper breakfast on Saturday due to my long working hours, and usually I'll settle my breakfast/ lunch or brunch with sandwiches. Xiang and I joined MHB for Arthur's Sunday Brunch @ Friendscino Viva Home earlier this month.

How's my first picture of this post? I'm impressed by the quality of selfie taken with Tim's Huawei phone! The selfie was taken with beauty mode with no additional edit. #ShouldIGetANewPhone? #OMGILoveThisPhone!

We were having Sunday Brunch Buffet Style with FREE FLOW of Guinness! It's kinda weird for me to have alcoholic drink for my first meal of the day so I actually ordered juice before I started to have Guinness.

The Arthur’s Sunday Brunch at FriendsCino - 11.00am - 4.00pm  RM100.00 nett/pax.

Scrambled eggs and sausages, beef bacon, garlic bread, baked beans, sautéed mushrooms, sweet potatoes, and grilled chicken.

I really love their sautéed mushrooms and sweet potatoes! The sweet potatoes were baked with onions, yum!!

Pancakes and bread and butter pudding.

Their pancakes are really tasty! Asked Xiang to help me refill a few times, I don't mind eating sweet stuffs as long as they're good! Hehee :)

Still a sleepy face, it's a lazy Sunday! :p

You may have as much food and Guinness as you want while chit-chatting with friends! That's one good way of enjoying a weekend isn't it?

We ordered some salad to share too. :)

There're few sections:-

1. The outdoor al fresco dining area

2. The indoor sofa/ dining section

3. The darts/ bar area

4. Private room with 2 machines and sofas

We decided to stay and have some fun time playing darts while enjoying our free-flow of Guinness. The darts game is only priced at RM 2 per player for normal game and the machines has wide option of games up to 4 players.

What a long Sunday brunch I had! Hahaa...we literally stayed until about 4 pm, Xiang and I only shared a portion of dinner because we were still very full from our brunch.

No More Falsies - Maybelline Big Eyes Mascara!

I am the kind of girl who is very lazy but still want to look gorgeous. As the Chinese saying goes - "There are no ugly women, there are only lazy women", 没有丑女人, 只有懒女人. Thanks to the advanced technology today we girls can look pretty with simpler steps! You could toss away your false eyelashes with this new Big Eyes Mascara by Maybelline

I did this beauty review in the car en route to Cameron Highlands! Trying something new is always fun :p  Will blog about the roadtrip to Cameron soon. #Ipromise #IHopeImNotBusy #Excuses

Waterproof, false lash effect, bigger eyes and it has two brushes!

I am the big fan of their mascaras and been using them since I first started to learn make up, and I'm still fancy their mascaras the most! The quality of their mascara is superb yet the price is affordable.

This is the first with 2 brushes, 1 big brush, 1 microbrush

2x brushes for 2x bigger eyes!!!

Priced at RM 45.90

It has 2 brushes with multiple usage. Big brush for drama volume on top lashes, small brush to perfect inner, outer corner and lower lashes. For those who love natural volume, you can also use small brush for top lashes too! What a multi-purpose mascara we girls can play with based on our daily mood!

The big brush for upper lashes.

And the small brush for lower lashes.

No smearing, no clumping, and no flaking! My eyes are bigger and looked like applying the natural false lashes with just ONE THIN LAYER of application! The most satisfying part is that my eyes don't have to be burdened by the weight of the false lashes to look pretty and sparkly! Bye bye falsies! (actually I didn't use false lashes for ages cause I really hate the hassle of applying and I HATE HEAVY MAKEUP :p)

You could apply one more coat to opt for a more dramatic result. I just want a natural lashes so the one coat is already sufficient for me. :)

Bali Part II - The Relaxing Spas

Bali trip wouldn't be a complete one without a traditional Balinese massage. We only planned to have one massage on our travel itinerary but since there's a gap hour in between on the first day, our driver helped us to book for only 1 hour massage.

Tamara Spa Bali, located in Nusa Dua

There are few choices of aroma to choose from for our massage oil.

Waiting for them to ready the room.

There are 'houses' for massage rooms, two different rooms for each house.

Very traditional and unique design.

The room, it's air-conditioned but it isn't that new.

We only had 1 hour massage and didn't get to shower later cause we booked the room last minute, but we girls are used to applying body lotion so it's still bearable for me. I chose the aromatherapy massage, the massage was just okay (I could be quite demanding when comes to facial and massage, I only fully enjoy the massage if it's really good).

We were served with a cup of hot ginger tea after. THIS IS REALLY GOOD!

Love how they design their place, massage rooms surrounded by plants.

More discount will be given if you're going in group, and pay with IDR instead of USD.

Our second spa was in Ubud.

Ubud is more peaceful and less activity area, longer spa session is advisable to kill the time. And for the record, most of the spa closed at 8pm in this area. So better make reservation to avoid any disappointment.

Before entering our spa room, this place is for a nature lover.

The reason we chose here because of the paddy view!

Everything looks fine but there's NO AIR-COND. I'm a Malaysian living in khatulistiwa with summer all year long, I still prefer having spa/massage in an air-cond room.

There are different spa packages to choose from:-

Sedona Beauty Package
-Greentea Bath
-Hair cream bath
-Manicure & pedicure
RP 495.000

Lotus Package
-Javanese Lulur
-Hair Cream bath
RP 350.000

Jepun  Package
-Balinese Boreh
-Hair Cream bath
-Manicure & Pedicure
RP 395.000

Cempaka Package
-Hair Cream bath
-Manicure & Pedicure
RP 325.000

Melati Package
-Balinese Massage
-Hair Cream bath
Rp 280.000

(more information on )

I chose the Lotus Package. You may nego to change some of the thing you dislike in the package, ie. you may change the Javanese Lulur to Green Tea Bath in the Lotus Package.

To be honest, I don't really satisfy with all the services. But this is a good experience to enjoy the spa with the fresh, haze-free air in the tranquility room. For my package, I get body scrub + massage + flower bath (about 1.5 hour), facial (about 20 mins) and hair spa (about 20 mins). So total time is about 2.5 hours (just an estimation, I forgotten the exact total hour).

My recommendation is to get a massage for your package so that you could experience the serenity massage and avoid Facial and Manicure & Pedicure. The facial and pedi mani were really bad, the were still some product leftover after my facial. This is a place to unwind your soul more than body, sounds ironic but it's true! Trade your money for an experience instead of expecting for a high quality spa and you won't be frustrated.

The best thing of this spa, flower bath with a cup of hot ginger tea and fruits!

A great shower after the massage and flower bath to wash away the scrubs and oil.

The beautiful pathway outside the spa rooms.

Travel Tips:

1. Most of the spa business provide free pickup service, you may book the free pickup service while making your reservation.
